10 viewpoints in the Alt Empordà
The project for the recovery of spaces for the study of the Alt Empordà region's landscape units comes up from initiative of the Consell Comarcal de l'Alt Empordà (the Alt Empordà Region Council) in order to promote the main landscape features of the region and to restore spaces aimed at this purpose.
The main goal of the initiative is to encourage the basic knowledge of the landscape and to promote actions to protect it, focused on the communication with the population and its perception.

7 landscape units of the Alt Empordà
The landscape units are territory portions, which combine specific landscape components of environmental, cultural, perceptual and symbolic nature as well as easily recognizable dynamics that confer them their own idiosyncrasy, different from the rest of the territory.
The ten landscape viewpoints of the Alt Empordà are aimed at making known each of the 7 landscape units in the region as well as its natural, cultural and social elements.
